Dr Simon Chapman, Managing Director of Keima Wireless will be speaking at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Wednesday 29 February 2012. The session which is from 1-3.30pm will look at some of the challenges in delivering the higher data-rates offered by LTE and LTE advanced which presents new design and spectrum challenges. The fast data rates have been promised but how can these be realised? Dr Chapman, along with other guest speakers will look at some of the challenges related to spectrum, radio planning, RAN implementation, mobile user and infrastructure design.

Dr Chapman has over 15 years experience specialising in optimization and automation algorithms for the telecommunications industry and is a Theoretical physicist with over 10 years experience specialising in the numerical modelling of non-analytic systems. Having developed and specified optimization algorithms Dr Chapman now specialises in on-site problem solving; Rapid R&D of dynamic cutting edge network design problems. He is currently developing and using smartphone geodata solutions to maximise cell spectral efficiency of LTE systems with MIMO.
