Dr Simon Chapman
After graduating in 1989, Simon Chapman started a research and development career in astrophysics.
Shortly after being awarded a PhD in 1991 he lectured at Cardiff University’s Physics Department.
His groundbreaking paper on the formation of multiple star systems was published in Nature in 1992
and he was subsequently made a Fellow of the University of Wales for his contribution to international research.
Since 1995 Simon has worked on optimisation solutions for the mobile telecommunications sector.
His roles have included researcher, product architect and development manager.
Most recently Simon has been supporting Keima’s customers in the planning of WiMAX networks.
Using Composer, Keima’s team of engineers optimized the selection of more than 20,000 sites.

Richard Edge
Since graduating from Cambridge in 1998,
Richard Edge has proved to be a skilled technologist and manager in the wireless communications sector.
He has worked as a product manager with world leading mobile communication engineering solutions providers,
as a technology strategist for a leading mobile operator
and as a principal consultant providing advice to senior managers of major telecommunications companies.
Most recently Richard has been developing Keima’s mobile WiMAX expertise
and progressing Keima’s business development activities.

Dr Kathryn Jones
Kathryn has a background in developing wireless optimisation technologies,
previously having worked on automatic cell planning solutions in both academia and industry.
Since 2004 Kathryn worked as a core technologist within the development team for a leading
automatic cell planning tool in the North American market.
Her academic research in automatic cell planning at Cardiff University
focused on the problem of dimensioning complex multi-service data networks.
Most recently Kathryn has been working closely with a large wireless operator
to help them optimize their nationwide rollout plans,
and developing Keima’s capabilities in new technologies including municipal Wi-Fi and 3GPP LTE.

Dr Steve Margetts
Steve Margetts specializes in software solutions for optimization and non-linear modeling techniques.
He brings to Keima nine years of research and software development experience, especially
in the field of wireless network optimization.
Most recently Steve has been developing Keima's existing products and leading the research of
new software technologies for the next generation of Keima solutions.

Dr Rupert Rawnsley
Rupert Rawnsley specializes in developing software solutions for the wireless telecommunications sector.
He brings to Keima ten years research and development experience,
as both technical lead and team leader.
Rupert has a proven track record of conceiving and implementing innovative solutions,
and transferring technology from a research environment to industry.
Most recently Rupert has been leading the development of Keima’s site selection and pre-build tool Composer,
including the development of Keima’s groundbreaking SPICE algorithm.
